Certified by the Bureau for Municipal Police in Albany, The United States Police Canine Association, and the American Pet Dog Training Association, Gary has trained numerous dogs for police patrol, narcotics, and explosives across the country. He has attended many training courses, ranging from the New York City Police Department to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, to gain his extensive knowledge of dog training.

Career Accolades

During his career, Gary served as the Senior K-9 handler and unit trainer for a large city police department in New York State. He attended several United States Police Canine Association K-9 certifications, consistently ranking at the top and even taking first place (top dog) in the region in 1987, 1989, and 1990. Additionally, he trained many other K-9 teams from various police departments throughout the region, resulting in first-place titles in obedience and other areas of police work.

35+ years of experience

Gary has become an expert in training all types of breeds of dogs, but he emphasizes the importance of training the owner/handler. He believes that working with the family is a top priority for a successfully trained dog, and that sending your dog away only trains your dog. At Gary's training sessions, he will train you and your dog as a team, so you can learn how to handle your pet dog effectively. As Gary quotes, “training a dog for a family is just like training a police dog team; the people handling the dog need to know what to do.” With Gary's approach, you can rest assured that you and your furry friend will become a well-trained team.
